Welcome to the October edition of HR Hot Topics. Hiring continues to be one of the top priorities and pain points for many of my clients. In the age of COVID, not only are businesses struggling to find qualified talent, but the types of questions that can and cannot be asked seemed to be shifting with the times. One question I’ve been getting a lot lately has to do with whether or not a job seeker can be asked about their vaccination status during the interview process. The answer to this question and the timing of this question varies a bit depending on whether or not you currently mandate vaccination as a condition of employment.
